CLASSIC CARS SHOWCASE
A large size fair where the best of motoring culture is on display for everyone to see and also for those interested in purchase. The tenth Milano Autoclassica exhibition took the stage at Rho fairground with the advance of about two months compared to the usual program scheduled at the end of November. Despite the unique circumstance due to the global pandemic, the event has met with enthusiasm from exhibitors and visitors, the signal of the desire to revamp the Automotive economy after this difficult period.
Rare and precious cars could be admired close-up in stands used as a showcase by official Brand that shown their historical models side by side latest production. Indeed, in addition to the classics and youngtimers, there was also interesting news. In a safe environment and in full compliance with the rules dictated by the health emergency, Alpine back to the Milan based fair with a large parterre of models which has at its centre the new Alpine A110S “Color Edition”, built in a limited edition of 400 examples. Bentley presented the Continental GTC V8 and the Bentayga V8 First Edition, the SUV introducing the hybrid plug-in variation of the V8 (449hp) and the W12 supplying 635 horsepower.
Porsche exhibits their first full-electric traction supercar (Taycan) together with a rare 930 Turbo Cabrio, Speedster Turbo Look 3.2 and the 911 ancestor, the 356. The hypercars world is represented by Pagani who shows one yellow Zonda Roadster S and the full carbon-fibre Huayra. To the exhibition of dreams cars that spans all ages, Lamborghini Milano brought the second model ever built by the Sant’Agata Factory, a stunning 1966 400 GT. This icon of the past has been flanked by models from the current range with strong appealing colours as the “Giallo Auge” Urus and the Blu Le Mans livery Huracan Evo Spider.
In the Milanese event become a landmark in the Automotive sector, one of the stands is missing is the Ferrari Classiche one, set up in the past years with several gems – for this edition the Maranello Brand shown off two cars from their museum (MEF and Maranello Museo). Mazda celebrates their 100th Anniversary and Pininfarina commemorates ninety years of activity: ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) collected 14 masterpieces built from the Designer based in Turin, representing the evolution in time of the style. In the year Alfa Romeo blows out 110 candles all the “75” models built from 1985 up to 1993 are on display, from the 1.7 litre to the Quadrifoglio Verde.
The most important dealers are present and, for the third year in a row, also participates Retro Classis Stoccarda, one of the most successful international Classic Cars Show. In 2019 was introduced much-appreciated news which has made Autoclassica the largest Italian exhibition of cars offered for sale directly by private: in addition to the offers of dealers, also private offers models (carefully selected to meet the high-quality standards of the event) suitable for every need and expectation. Inside the pavilion is also present an area dedicated to the original spare parts, where the growing number of collectors and motor enthusiasts could buy sought-after and hard to find Automotive “jewels”.
Although some brands were missing and the exhibition space was reduced compared to the past exhibitions, the fair dedicated to the timeless beauties entertained a passionate audience of all ages.
